Pride without Purpose...
billions of rain drops fall from one cloud.
one hits land, none more important than the last.
i stand in search of my purpose.
why i don't come in from the rain?
you see me soaked yet standing tall.
What am i trying to prove?
a billion more fall from one cloud.
i do not move, too proud...
you call out for me.
every drop has it's own splash, the only sound heard.
each ripple bounds lost to the next.
one drop's purpose?
what of my splash, sound, ripple?
purpose?
Standing lonely, cold, and slowly dying... too proud...
each drop has a purpose. together it rains...
is my purpose joined with yours?
i try, but i can't let you see me cry, too proud...
can't say, "us, we..."
one cloud, my tears lost in the rain, deep hurts and in pain.
pride, yes it hides the tides of my pain.
my eyes, a blur, blue skies long ago stir, now lies gray.
i cry in search of why??!
tears lost in the rain.
soaked under one cloud, too proud, without a purpose.
try to move, but proved helpless...
you took my hand and left me breathless...
took me in from the rain
kissed me dry...
showing me love has purpose
