My dearest Soul,
Where do you go? When I finally find sleep...
I close my eyes and slip away too tired to weep longer for today.
My fear is to wake...
again... I pray morning stays away...
the early morning mist carries the smell of the dying...
the cutting of fresh onions for the hungry...
I felt the warmness on my face... it frames a single tear...
that one drop of rain, for the homeless... one drop too many...
so I lay on my bed and can't find sleep... I turn... I turn... I TURN!
I turn flat on my back to catch my breath... I listen...
I breathe in the nothingness!
I know as soon as I sleep...
YOU ERUPT FROM THIS BODY!
STRAIGHT TROUGH THESES WALLS!
RIGHT PASS THESES RIBS!...
OUT... OF THIS CAGE!
Where do you go?
When I finally find sleep...
and... How is FREEDOM?
